HomeServe plans $1.8‑billion bond to refinance debt and pay dividend to Brookfield

HomeServe is in talks, according to people familiar with the matter, about a $1.8‑billion bond structured as a whole‑business securitization and secured on corporate assets. Proceeds are intended to refinance existing debt and pay a $600‑million dividend to Brookfield Asset Management. Jefferies is leading the transaction, which is expected to comprise several tranches for public and private markets; a five‑year publicly tradable tranche and seven‑ and ten‑year private placements are under discussion.
