MDA Space has unveiled MDA AURORA BLACK, a software-defined satellite product for military and government communications with jamming resistance, GPS-spoofing resistance and perimeter sensing. The system complements the AURORA product line and is intended to provide secure links in contested areas for tactical and strategic operations. MDA Space opens CHORUS control centre and shares rise after analyst support

MDA Space has opened the MDA CHORUS™ control centre in St‑Bruno‑de‑Montarville, Québec, confirming the on‑schedule launch of the satellite constellation in late 2026 with commercial operations beginning in early 2027. The dual‑band constellation is expected to deliver C‑band wide‑area imagery over 700 km and submetric X‑band spotlight images.
