  • AMETEK buys Indicor for $5 billion after record quarter, betting on recurring revenue

AMETEK completed a $5.0 billion all-cash acquisition of Indicor Instrumentation after reporting record Q2 sales, raised guidance and strong order growth. Indicor is expected to add about $350 million to 2026 sales and be modestly accretive to adjusted EPS while fitting into AMETEK’s Electronic Instruments and Electromechanical groups. Risks include integration execution, a widening gap between GAAP and adjusted earnings, and a rich forward P/E that leaves little room for disappointment. » More on finance.yahoo.com

The businesses will be integrated into AMETEK’s Electronic Instruments Group and Electromechanical Group. » More on de.investing.com

  • Ametek raises commercial-paper program to $3.5 billion

Ametek has increased the maximum size of its short-term unsecured commercial paper program from $2.3 billion to $3.5 billion; the adjustment took effect on August 7 and all other terms remain unchanged. The company views the program as a flexible financing source, including for acquisitions, while a revolving credit facility serves as repayment backstop. Ametek stresses that combined outstanding debt under the facility and commercial paper will not exceed $3.5 billion. In addition, Ametek reported strong Q2 results, raised its full-year outlook and prompted analysts such as RBC to raise their price targets. » More on de.investing.com
