Appian: AI demand pushes revenue and margin outlook higher
Appian expects around 17% revenue growth at the midpoint of guidance and a 200-basis-point expansion in margins thanks to strong demand for AI solutions, notably the DocCenter product and the "AI in Process" framework. Almost 40% of ARR already comes from the higher-priced "Advanced" tier; 85% of new customers in Q2 chose that model. The company also uses AI internally, plans moderate sales hiring for 2027, and approved a $100 million share buyback program to return free cash flow to shareholders. The U.S. government business remains important (around 25% of revenue), and a nine-year framework agreement with the U.S. Army worth $500 million strengthens trust with agencies. » More on de.investing.com

Appian accelerates cloud growth in Q1 2026 to two-year high
Appian reported total revenue of $202.2 million in Q1 2026 and non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.27, substantially beating analyst expectations. Cloud subscription revenue rose to $124.5 million (+25% Y/Y), the strongest growth in two years; adjusted EBITDA was $26.6 million. Management raised its outlook and now expects 2026 cloud subscription revenue of $515–521 million and total revenue of $819–831 million. Risks remain an equity deficit of $59 million, high stock volatility, and potential margin pressure from additional investments. » More on de.investing.com
