Baxter raises growth outlook and shows turnaround progress

At the Wells Fargo conference Baxter reported turnaround progress with 5% operational growth in Q2 and raised its 2026 full-year forecast to 2–3%. The company completed a $860m buyback program, used $600m to pay down debt and aims for net debt/EBITDA below 3x by the end of 2026. Management plans a reorganization into independent P&L units and the GPS program to drive performance, but sees ongoing weaknesses in infusion systems, injectables and IV solutions and expects 2027 headwinds from expiring TSAs and the loss of one-off effects. » More on de.investing.com
John Rogers to become Baxter CFO on October 1, 2026

Baxter appoints John Rogers as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective October 1, 2026. Rogers joins from Smith+Nephew, was previously CFO at WPP and held leadership roles at J Sainsbury; he will report to Andrew Hider and is expected to help strengthen the balance sheet and support transformation initiatives. Baxter increases buyback offer for bonds to 600 million US dollars

Baxter has raised the maximum repurchase amount for its cash tender offers from $500 million to $600 million. The company is accepting in full the bonds maturing in 2051, 2046 and 2043 that were validly tendered by the early tender deadline, while only about 31.37% pro rata of the 2032 notes will be accepted. Early tenderers will receive a premium of $30 per $1,000 principal; the submitted offers are expected to be settled on August 20, 2026 and the offers run as scheduled until September 1, 2026.
