Meyer Werft receives major order from Carnival for another cruise ship
Meyer Werft in Papenburg is building the 344-meter-long cruise ship “Carnival Tropicale” for Carnival Cruise Line. The ship will accommodate more than 6,400 passengers, is powered by LNG engines, features a water park with six slides and a Route 66 mini-golf course. The “Carnival Tropicale” is scheduled to sail from Texas to the Caribbean, the Bahamas and Mexico from April 2028 and is the fifth and final ship of the Excel class; two ships of the class were also built or are under construction in Papenburg. » More on manager-magazin.de

P&O Ferries confirms data breach after passenger information shared on Calais–Dover sailing
P&O Ferries said an isolated incident on a Calais–Dover sailing on 31 August led to a link containing passenger personal information being inadvertently shared with several customers. The company is contacting affected passengers directly, apologised and said it takes data security seriously. The Information Commissioner's Office has been contacted and P&O will keep impacted customers informed as further information becomes available. » More on yahoo.com
