A post hoc analysis of the phase‑3 ATTAIN‑1 study estimates that the maximum Foundayo dose of 17.2 mg is associated with a 57 percent lower projected ten‑year risk for type 2 diabetes and an 18 percent lower projected risk for cardiovascular disease compared with placebo. These figures are projected risks and do not prove that the diseases actually occur less often. Eli Lilly combo of amylin drug and tirzepatide delivers greater weight loss in Phase 2 trial

Eli Lilly said a mid-stage trial of an experimental combination regimen—eloralintide (amylin) plus low-dose tirzepatide—produced up to 23.3% weight loss over 48 weeks versus 14.8% for a 15 mg tirzepatide dose and 12.3% for eloralintide alone. The combo also reduced A1C by up to 2.9% compared with 2.4% for higher-dose tirzepatide.
