  • Intertek takeover: Bidco/EQT financing consortium expanded by 14 banks

Isotope Bidco Limited, owned by EQT‑X funds and minority shareholders, has expanded the financing consortium for the takeover of Intertek by adding 14 new mandated lead arrangers. The additional banks joined the existing consortium of Barclays, Crédit Agricole, Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley; the bridging finance agreements were amended and restated accordingly. The takeover is to be effected by a court‑sanctioned scheme of arrangement under Part 26 of the Companies Act 2006; a scheme document has already been sent to Intertek shareholders. » More on de.investing.com

  • Intertek taken private by EQT in roughly £10bn deal

Intertek's board recommended a takeover by an EQT-led consortium after bids rose to around £60 a share, valuing the testing and inspection group at about £10bn and representing roughly a 60% premium. The deal is the third FTSE 100 exit this year, highlighting a trend of takeovers and a shortage of sizable new listings on London’s main market. Market participants warn the lack of major IPOs weakens London’s appeal compared with US markets. » More on theguardian.com

  • Intertek extends deadline for EQT takeover decision to 18 June

Intertek has extended the deadline for EQT to submit a binding takeover offer until 18 June 2026, 17:00, after EQT requested additional time for confirmatory due diligence and governance processes. EQT is maintaining its unchanged cash offer of £60.00 per share; Intertek may also pay the already approved final dividend of 107.7 pence per share without reducing the cash offer. The Panel on Takeovers and Mergers has agreed to the extension; by the deadline EQT must announce a firm intention to make an offer or state that no offer is intended. » More on de.investing.com
