Metaplanet’s share rose about 6.1% on Friday to 296.0 yen, driven by a strong rally in the Bitcoin price, which briefly climbed above $82,000. Metaplanet announced a transaction in which over Metaplanet Holdings 2,100 Bitcoin and $2.5 million will be invested in Super League Enterprise; in return Metaplanet will receive 44,859,400 common shares as well as preferred shares and warrants. After the planned name change to Superplanet and the expected closing in Q4 2026, Metaplanet would hold around 95.7% of the common shares; completion still depends on shareholder and regulatory approvals.
