  • National Bank of Canada beats Q3 forecasts, shares fall on CWB integration concerns

National Bank of Canada reported Q3 2026 earnings per share of CAD 3.39 (+26% vs. prior year) and revenue of CAD 4.05bn (+18%), both above analyst estimates. Return on equity was 16.8% and operating leverage 5.8%; growth was driven mainly by mortgages, wealth management and capital markets. The stock fell about 5% premarket after fears of a delayed AIRB conversion of the CWB portfolio, smaller-than-expected capital benefits and higher operating costs. » More on de.investing.com

  • National Bank of Canada beats Q2 expectations, stock falls nonetheless in premarket trading

National Bank of Canada reported Q2 EPS of CAD 3.23 and revenue of CAD 3.91 billion, beating analyst expectations. The bank raised its quarterly dividend by 6% and reported a CET1 ratio of 13.54% and an ROE of 16.8%. Despite the strong metrics, the stock fell about 3% in premarket trading, which is being attributed to macroeconomic uncertainty; management is targeting an ROE of around 16% for 2026 and 17% or more for 2027. » More on de.investing.com
