PPL misses Q2 estimates, but reaffirms full-year guidance
PPL reported adjusted earnings of $0.33 per share and revenue of $2.11 billion for the second quarter of 2026, missing both Wall Street EPS and revenue estimates. The company nonetheless confirmed its full-year guidance of $1.90–$1.98 in adjusted earnings per share and expects stronger results in the second half of the year thanks to recent rate decisions in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. PPL had invested $2.3 billion through the end of Q2 and is targeting roughly $5 billion in capital expenditures for 2026; its long-term EPS growth target is 6–8% annually through at least 2029. The stock rose in premarket trading as investors weighed the confirmed guidance, investment plans and growth pipeline more heavily than the quarterly miss. » More on de.investing.com
