Reddit accuses Proskauer Rose of a conflict of interest, saying the firm previously represented Reddit in a whistleblower matter and gained access to confidential information. Reddit is tightening access to the classic interface: Old Reddit will in future be available only to logged-in users who have used it in the last six months; moderators are exempt. In addition, RSS feeds will be turned off on 13 November 2026 and apps/bots must be registered on Reddit’s developer platform by 12 January 2027 (more than 14,000 programs are already registered). Reddit will require users to be logged in and to have used Old Reddit within six months of the rollout to continue accessing the classic UI, a measure aimed at blocking bots and scraping. Moderators will remain exempt from the recent-use requirement.
