Samsung increased US prices for the Galaxy S26 lineup by $100 for nearly every model on its official website, citing higher RAM costs as a factor. The base S26 (256GB) now starts at $999, $200 more than the base S25 after earlier launch increases; the S26 Ultra 1TB rose by $200 to $1,999. The S26 FE remains at $699, though that is still higher than last year’s FE price. » More on theverge.com

  • Samsung launches smaller, longer-lasting Galaxy SmartTag 3 with iPhone support

Samsung unveiled the third-generation Galaxy SmartTag 3, a 35% smaller and 33% lighter Bluetooth tracker with IP67 protection and a replaceable CR2032 battery rated for about 550 days of normal use (790 days in power-saving mode). The device drops the keyring cutout, requiring a protective case for attachment, and adds cross-OS support including iOS, new movement and zone alerts, and location history. Tracking runs on Samsung’s Galaxy Find Network and combines UWB and Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding for precise detection; the tracker goes on sale in South Korea from October 7, with additional markets to follow in 2027 and pricing not yet announced. » More on theverge.com

  • Samsung updates Galaxy Tab S12 Plus with major overhaul, Tab S12 Ultra sees modest refresh

Samsung introduces the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and Tab S12 Ultra, with the Plus receiving a significant upgrade over the two-year-old Tab S10 Plus including a brighter 12.6-inch display, MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, larger 10,600mAh battery and a $200 price increase to $1,199. The Tab S12 Ultra is a milder refresh from the Tab S11 Ultra, limited mainly to a chipset bump and improved four-channel spatial audio, while retaining its 14.6-inch display, 11,600mAh battery and 5.1mm thickness at a new price of $1,399. Both models offer 1,600-nit OLED screens, IP68 rating, seven years of Android updates, an included S Pen, and an Android tablet version of Adobe Photoshop exclusive to Samsung for six months.
