Around 950 AI agents analyzed over 200,000 reverse transcriptases within 21 hours and identified thousands of new candidate systems, including a previously uncharacterized enzyme system with CRISPR-like repeats. The results required experimental confirmation in the wet lab, increasing the need for automated laboratory workflows.
