Tomtom under new leadership: sales continue to fall, about 200 jobs to be cut
Under new CEO Mike Schoofs, Tomtom is seeing a continued decline in sales; revenue fell 6% in the third quarter to €129m and 7% in the first nine months to €393m. The consumer business for portable navigation devices lost roughly a quarter of its sales in the first nine months. The company plans to cut about 200 positions (6% of staff), flatten its hierarchy and reorganise its divisions to respond faster to customer needs. Tomtom sees growth opportunities from AI applications such as autonomous driving and has raised its full-year margin forecast thanks to strict cost discipline. » More on faz.net
TomTom under pressure after downgrade by AlphaValue
TomTom shares fall after AlphaValue downgrades the stock from "Buy" to "Add"; it trades at €4.14 (-2.8%). AlphaValue cites continued revenue declines, pressure on profitability and limited growth prospects before 2028, and cuts its price target to €5.21 per share. The research firm expects only a transitional period in 2026–27 with limited visibility of a recovery and sees signs of margin deterioration in the second half of the year. In the long term new automotive contracts could bring growth, but short-term effects are minimal; the stock is well below its 52-week high. » More on de.investing.com

Net profit returned to €7.2m thanks to a 24% cut in operating costs, but this did not convince investors.
