Veritone unveils growth plans and significantly reduces debt
At the H.C. Wainwright conference, Veritone presented its strategy: growth via the aiWARE platform and the new Veritone Data Refinery (VDR), combined with a strong focus on debt reduction and cost discipline. The company says it has cut total debt from about $200 million to roughly $45 million and paid down approximately $77 million of term debt, while reducing operating expenses on a run-rate basis by 12% with a target of 25% or more by H1 2025. VDR has a near-term pipeline of about $100 million and monetizes existing archives by licensing structured video datasets to hyperscalers and model developers. Veritone emphasizes that the platform serves commercial customers such as Disney, CBS News and ESPN as well as government agencies and is on the path to profitability, while a convertible note due in November 2024 still needs to be refinanced or restructured. » More on de.investing.com
