Zillow unveils broader growth model focused on software, rentals, mortgages and AI at Goldman Sachs conference
At the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference, Zillow said it is expanding beyond pure property search into software, rentals, mortgages and AI, with all three core areas contributing to growth. Since its IPO the company has reported average annual revenue growth of 29%, expects mid‑teens revenue growth in 2026, and is targeting $5 billion in revenue and a 45% EBITDA margin in the medium term. The AI mode is active for 20% of registered users and shows higher engagement rates; the mortgage business is profitable on a variable‑cost basis and will be further scaled. Zillow settles FTC antitrust case over 2025 rental-listings partnership with Redfin
The FTC and Zillow reached a settlement ending allegations that a 2025 partnership with Redfin suppressed competition in rental listings. Under the proposal Redfin may continue syndicating Zillow listings but must restart its own rental-listings advertising business that it had wound down. State attorneys general in Arizona, Connecticut, New York, Virginia and Washington joined the settlement, which the FTC says delivers faster relief for renters and property managers than a trial would. » More on theverge.com
