ASML benefits from Mistral valuation: stake up significantly
French AI provider Mistral raised âŹ3 billion in a Series D round and is now valued at more than âŹ21 billion. ASML had previously invested âŹ1.3 billion and held around 11 percent, which mathematically corresponds to roughly âŹ2.3 billion now â an increase of about 80 percent since the initial investment. The exact current ownership stake may differ due to the recent capital increase, and ASML also participated again in the round. More important than the paper gain is the strategic partnership: Mistralâs AI models are to be integrated into ASMLâs products, R&D and operational processes. » More on deraktionaer.de
ASML benefits from AI boom: revenue and profit rise sharply
ASML sees strong tailwinds from rising AI investments that increase both unit volumes and technological requirements for cuttingâedge lithography systems. In the second quarter of 2026, revenue rose to âŹ9.3 billion and net profit to âŹ2.9 billion, with a gross margin of 54.0% and an operating margin of 37.1%. A strong service and upgrade business, together with expected revenue increases of around 25% in logic chips and 75% in the memory segment, support the outlook; a new lithography generation and capacity expansion should drive further growth. » More on deraktionaer.de
ASML positioned to benefit as AI drives greater chip complexity
Sands Capital highlighted ASML as a key contributor in its Q2 2026 Global Growth Fund letter, saying rising AI demand increases the need for advanced DRAM and logic chips and could make lithography capacity a major scaling constraint. The fund's analysis expects fabs worldwide to materially expand lithography capacity and forecasts higher wafer and lithography intensity from AI and agentic workloads, supporting ASML's leading-edge systems. Sands Capital concludes ASML is well positioned to capture growth from increased chip complexity and infrastructure buildout. » More on finance.yahoo.com
