EnQuest increases profit and cash flow in H1 2026, prepares major Malaysia acquisition
EnQuest reports an 18% rise in cash revenue to $609m for H1 2026, with adjusted EBITDA of $273m (+13%) and operating cash flow of $281m (+31%). Production rose to 12,500 boepd, and the full-year guidance was narrowed to 41,000–43,000 boepd. Completion of the large acquisition in Malaysia is planned for 31 December 2026; the acquired 57,000 boepd are expected to significantly boost production from 1 January 2027. EnQuest cuts production ceiling after Magnus outage, shares fall
EnQuest lowered the top end of its 2026 production forecast from 45,000 to 43,000 boepd after a five-week outage on the Magnus field, caused by a third‑party malfunction, hit production. The company reported an adjusted pre-tax profit of $54.6m for H1 2026. EnQuest shareholders approve takeover of Malaysia assets
At the general meeting, EnQuest approved the planned acquisition of interests in four offshore production sharing contracts in Malaysia from PETRONAS CARIGALI with 99.97% of the votes. The maximum total consideration is $833 million. EnQuest expects the transaction to complete by 31 December 2026 with economic effect from 1 January 2027 and plans to relist its ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange main market around 4 January 2027. » More on de.investing.com
