Grenke boosts group profit in first half of 2026 by 24% thanks to better cost control
Grenke reported a group profit of âŹ32.6m for H1 2026 (up 24.4%) and an operating result of âŹ353m (up 11%). Operating expenses rose by only 1.5%, bringing the cost-income ratio down to 51.6%. New leasing business grew to âŹ1.6bn, the US business doubled, and total assets stood at âŹ9.2bn. Grenke reports lower new leasing business and shrinking margin in second quarter
Grenkeâs new leasing business fell 1% year-on-year in Q2 to âŹ858.5m, and the contribution margin dropped 1.5 percentage points to 15.6%. The loss ratio rose from 1.7% to 2.1%, yet group profit increased to âŹ17.1m (+7%).
