JinkoSolar plans to rebrand as Jinko Holdings and focus on strategic investments
The board of JinkoSolar has proposed rebranding the company as Jinko Holdings; the change requires shareholder approval at the annual general meeting on 21 October 2026 and regulatory clearances. The American Depositary Shares will remain listed on the NYSE under the ticker JKS. JinkoSolar misses Q2 forecasts, stock falls about 9%
JinkoSolar reported an adjusted loss per share of $13.19 in the second quarter of 2026 on revenue of $12.36 billion, both markedly worse than consensus expectations, and gross margin fell sequentially to 4.2%. The stock dropped about 9% in premarket trading and is approaching its 52‑week low. Management cut the annual delivery guidance to 60–70 GW and plans to shift focus from volume to profitability and cash flow; high‑efficiency modules such as Tiger Neo 5.0 are expected to account for more than 60% of shipments. JinkoSolar appoints Wei Du as CEO with immediate effect
JinkoSolar announced the resignation of Xiande Li as chief executive officer and appointed Wei “Dimi” Du as the new CEO with immediate effect. Li will remain chairman and chair of the compensation and the nomination and corporate governance committees of the board of directors. Du has served since April 2026 as vice president of strategic investment and will take responsibility for day-to-day operations, strategic execution and capital allocation; the change is part of a succession process.
