Kingfisher Metals appoints Jasper Bertisen as independent director

Kingfisher Metals has appointed Jasper Bertisen with immediate effect as an independent, non-executive director. Bertisen brings more than 20 years of private equity experience in the mining sector, project evaluation, corporate finance and corporate governance, and is a member of the investment committee of Resource Capital Funds. Chris Beltgens resigns; Kingfisher has granted Bertisen 350,000 stock options with a five-year term and a 24-month vesting period. Kingfisher shares fell after Deutsche Bank warned that a cooling UK jobs market and easing household income growth could squeeze consumer spending, hitting retailers including Associated British Foods, Next and Wickes.
