Rockhopper plans capital raise to acquire second Sea Lion FPSO
Navitas Petroleum has exercised the option to buy the FPSO OSX-1; acquisition costs are around USD 125 million (excluding refurbishment). Navitas will initially bear 100% of the cost via a special-purpose vehicle until Rockhopper finances its 35% share; completion is expected in September 2026. The additional FPSO could increase Sea Lion’s production capacity by 125,000 bopd, which would deliver Rockhopper a net 43,750 bopd, and is intended to accelerate development of the Central Development Area.
