Moderna closes $3 billion convertible notes and shares jump

Moderna privately placed interest-free convertible notes totaling $3 billion (including an exercised option of $400 million) maturing in March 2032 with an initial conversion price of about $211 per share. Net proceeds of roughly $2.96 billion will, according to the company, go to the oncology division and debt reduction; about $329 million were used for cap hedges against dilution.
