Bank of America initiated coverage of Salzgitter on August 18 with a “buy” and a price target of €71, yet the stock plunged about 6.8% in trading to €48.00. Analyst consensus remains mostly buy with an average target of €66.60, while near-term Q2 results were well below expectations (EPS 78.2% below consensus, revenue −7.0%).
