Teva Pharm reports a clear success in a phase‑2a study of the anti‑interleukin‑15 antibody TEV ’408 for the treatment of celiac disease: the primary endpoint was met and at week 8 the drug showed a statistically significant and clinically meaningful prevention of gluten‑induced intestinal damage with a good tolerability profile. TEV ’408 is also being tested in a phase‑2b study for vitiligo and was developed in collaboration with Royalty Pharma, which has pledged up to USD 500 million for clinical development.
