Thungela reports strong profit and cash-flow jump, shares rise 12.5%
In H1 2026 Thungela reported adjusted EBITDA of ZAR 1.3bn (+91%) and adjusted operating free cash flow of ZAR 1.9bn (+292%). Reported earnings per share climbed to ZAR 10.95 (+467%), aided by a non-cash disposal gain from the sale of the Kleinkopje mining right; headline EPS was ZAR 4.80. The stock rose about 12.5% following the results, the company announced an interim dividend of ZAR 5.50 per share and increased its net cash position to ZAR 6.1bn.
