S&P raises Toshiba rating to BB- and keeps outlook positive
S&P Global Ratings has raised Toshibaâs long-term issuer rating from B+ to BB-, while the short-term rating remains at B. The agency expects Toshibaâs EBITDA margin to rise to 11.5â12% next year, supported by cost cuts, improved risk management and stronger results in core businesses. Leverage improved to 5.8x after the LBO; through share sales of Kioxia and debt repayment it could fall to just under 4x by the end of March 2026 and into the midâ3x range in fiscal 2026. S&P sees further revenue and cashâflow growth particularly in the energy and infrastructure business and in the hardâdisk business, despite weakness in certain semiconductor and POS system divisions. » More on de.investing.com
