ABB beats Q3 expectations and names new CFO

ABB reports Q3 revenue and order intake each up 9% to around $9.1bn, a double-digit EBITA of $1.74bn and an operating margin of 19.2%, exceeding the target range. Net income rose 28% to $1.21bn and the EBITA margin guidance for 2025 was raised to the upper end of the target corridor. The group plans to accelerate acquisition activity, financed in part by the sale of the robotics business (more than $5bn).
