Siemens Energy to spin off ToI unit as Omterra and aims for valuation above âŹ10 billion
Siemens Energy plans to make its industrial division Transformation of Industry (ToI), with about 17,000 employees, independent under the name Omterra and is exploring the sale of a majority stake that Bloomberg says could be valued at more than âŹ10 billion. Goldman Sachs is advising on the sale; Siemens Energy intends to retain a significant minority stake, and private equity firms such as CVC, EQT, Bain, Brookfield and KKR are named as potential bidders. The ToI unit generated roughly âŹ5.7 billion in revenue in 2025 with an operating margin of 11.3%; analysts including JPMorgan welcome the separation and have reiterated buy ratings. Risks include internal reviews by the supervisory board and employee representatives, as well as the idle GNA II gas power plant, which could weigh on buyer talks; the market expects an update with the full-year results on 11 November 2026. » More on de.investing.com
