Ahold Delhaize: Q2 revenue meets forecasts, adjusted earnings per share slightly below expectation
Ahold Delhaize reported Q2 net revenue of EUR 23.2bn (+1.9%), in line with expectations, while diluted adjusted earnings per share of EUR 0.63 were marginally below the forecast of EUR 0.6365. Comparable sales rose in the US excluding fuel by 0.8% and in Europe by 1.8%, and US online sales grew by 14.5%. The adjusted operating margin edged down to 3.9% and free cash flow remained seasonally weaker, but management confirmed the full-year guidance including margin and free-cash-flow targets. JPMorgan puts Ahold Delhaize on underweight after Albertsons cuts targets
JPMorgan has left Ahold Delhaize at "Underweight" with a price target of €24.07 after US rival Albertsons sharply lowered its annual targets. The rating makes Ahold Delhaize the number one on the list of analysts' sell recommendations for calendar week 30.
