Allianz exceeds 450 euro mark for first time

Allianz shares climb above €450 for the first time and are up about 16% year to date. Between 17 and 21 August the group bought 241,631 of its own shares; since the buyback program began on 13 March a total of 5,391,108 shares have been repurchased, supporting earnings per share and signaling management confidence. Based on expected earnings the P/E ratio is 13.6 (5‑year average 10.2) and the price-to-book ratio is 2.6 (5‑year average 1.7), indicating a higher but not yet extremely stretched valuation. Allianz Commercial appoints Emma Woolley head of global specialty business

Emma Woolley will become head of Global Specialty at Allianz Commercial and will additionally assume responsibility for the United Kingdom region. She will be appointed to the management board of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE and will report directly to Thomas Lillelund.
