AstraZeneca said the SERENA-4 trial of oral selective oestrogen receptor degrader camizestrant missed its primary endpoint in previously untreated advanced breast cancer. Citi kept a 'buy' rating and a £178 target, saying the outcome was largely expected and trims only about 2.5% off the drug's valuation. AstraZeneca suffers setback: breast cancer pill Etcamah misses primary endpoint

AstraZeneca said Etcamah did not meet the primary endpoint in a late-stage trial when given in combination with Ibrance to delay progression of a form of advanced breast cancer. The combination showed a numerical delay in disease progression compared with standard therapy, but this was not statistically significant. AstraZeneca: Etcamah misses primary endpoint in phase‑III breast cancer trial

AstraZeneca reports that breast cancer drug Etcamah failed to meet the primary endpoint of improving progression‑free survival in a late‑stage trial. The combination with palbociclib showed only a numerical, not statistically significant, improvement in previously untreated patients with advanced breast cancer. Shares fell about 3% in after‑hours trading, and the company says it will publish the full study data later.
