Thunderful Group reports Q2 revenue decline of 29% and Atari plans SEK 50m investment

Thunderful Group reported a 29% revenue decline in Q2 2025 to SEK 59 million, an adjusted EBITDA of -SEK 23.2 million and ongoing losses; the company is carrying out extensive restructurings with a significantly reduced workforce. After the quarter end a planned directed share investment by Atari of SEK 50 million was announced, which would make Atari the majority shareholder (around 82%) and is still subject to an extraordinary general meeting. Atari acquires rights to five Ubisoft games for re-release

Atari has taken ownership of the intellectual property rights for five Ubisoft titles (Cold Fear, I Am Alive, Child of Eden, Grow Home, Grow Up) and plans to re-release them on new platforms under its publishing label. The company is evaluating updated formats, new content and expanded distribution channels, as well as opportunities to extend and evolve the franchises.
