Birkenstock recovers sharply after selling pressure
Birkenstock's stock rose 6.6% in premarket trading, recovering from near its 52-week low after the selling pressure triggered in mid‑August. Third-quarter revenue was €719.5m, above analyst expectations, and the company raised its constant‑currency revenue growth target for 2026 to 15% and lifted its adjusted EBITDA forecast. Although earnings per share were slightly below consensus, the strong revenue performance, broad regional growth, the accelerated share buyback program and confirmed buy recommendations from several banks support a revaluation of the stock. » More on de.investing.com
L Catterton reduces stake in Birkenstock after share rally
L Catterton sold 25.52 million Birkenstock shares for about $1 billion at $39.35 each, a 4 percent discount to the closing price. About half of the shares were bought by Birkenstock itself for cancellation. With the sale, L Catterton retreats to a minority stake five years after its entry and has therefore sold just over a quarter of its holdings. Bernard Arnault additionally holds 5.6 percent via Financiere Agache. » More on manager-magazin.de
Birkenstock stock falls after $1bn secondary placement by majority shareholder
Birkenstock stock fell about 4.4% in premarket trading after BK LC Lux MidCo, affiliated with L Catterton, announced a secondary placement of shares totaling $1bn at roughly $39.35 per share (about a 4% discount to the prior day). The company announced a share buyback program of up to $500m to ease selling pressure; analysts’ reactions ranged from confirmations with price targets of $51–58 to downgrades to hold/neutral. » More on de.investing.com
