  • NTSB urges Bombardier Learjet operators to check main landing gear after fatal runway incident

    The NTSB recommended the FAA require operators of 10 Bombardier Learjet models to ensure the main landing gear is correctly attached, citing a fatal Feb. 10 Scottsdale runway accident and three prior disconnections caused by a retaining bolt not engaging an aft pin. The recommendation would cover 1,883 aircraft currently in service and follows a Bombardier service bulletin; only 12% of airplanes have been inspected so far.
