Bosch starts serial production of humanoid robots in Bühl
Bosch plans to start serial production of human-like Gamma robots at its Bühl plant from August 2027, together with the British startup Humanoid. Initially a few hundred units are planned, manufactured by Bosch for Humanoid, which intends to rent the machines in future under a 'Robotics as a Service' model. Bosch is also considering supplying its own components such as drives and sensors; the first customer is Schaeffler. Bosch receives up to $225 million grant for California SiC chip plant
Bosch will receive up to $225 million from the US Commerce Department’s chip program to retrofit its Roseville plant and will invest up to $2 billion there in total. Pilot production of silicon carbide (SiC) chips has begun in Roseville, and mass production is scheduled to start later this year. Bosch starts pilot production at first US chip factory in Roseville
Bosch has started pilot production at its first US semiconductor plant in Roseville and agreed with the US Department of Commerce on a $225 million grant to support silicon carbide chips. The plant was acquired in 2023 from TSI Semiconductors and retrofitted at a total cost of $2 billion including subsidies.
