British Land Company pays £0.23 dividend for 2026 and raises total payout

At the AGM of British Land Company a dividend of £0.23 per share was approved for 2026; the single dividend therefore remains unchanged, while the total payout rises to £229.00m (+4.09% versus the prior year). The stock is trading ex-dividend; the dividend yield for 2026 is 6.51% (prior year 6.17%). British Land reports strong leasing momentum in first quarter

British Land recorded leasing deals totaling 567,000 sqft in the first quarter, 4.8% ahead of estimated rental value (ERV) and 8.7% above previous rents, with offers pending for a further 1.1 million sqft. Strong demand in the campus segment (264,000 sqft) at locations such as Broadgate, One Triton Square and Canada Water, together with contributions from the integrated LABS REIT portfolio, drove the result. Retail parks and London urban logistics reached near-full occupancy with deals concluded above ERV; sales of £83m were completed at a net initial yield of 3.2%, further assets worth £223m are under negotiation, and Telford Bridge Retail Park was acquired at an 8.3% yield. The company reiterates undiluted earnings per share of at least 30.5p for 2027 and expects like-for-like rental growth and ERV growth at the upper end of its 3–5% target range. » More on de.investing.com
British Land: Joanne McNamara to become CEO, starting 14 September 2026

Joanne McNamara will join British Land as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director on 14 September 2026, succeeding Simon Carter, who leaves the company on 31 August 2026. Until McNamara takes up the post, CFO David Walker will serve as interim head. British Land will relocate its headquarters on 8 July to 20 Triton Street at Regent’s Place and manages a portfolio valued at £15.8bn, of which £10.1bn was held as of 31 March 2026.
