Bright Scholar has completed the announced privatization and is now a 100% subsidiary of Excellence Education Investment Limited. Each ADS was redeemed for $2.30 in cash; non-ADS ordinary shares were settled at $0.575 per share. Trading of the ADS on the NYSE was suspended. The company had recently struggled with losses (basic EPS -$3.89) and a short-term liquidity ratio of 0.68; its SEC registration is to be cancelled.
