  • CoreCivic launches accelerated $500 million share repurchase program

CoreCivic entered into an accelerated repurchase agreement for $500 million under an existing $755.8-billion repurchase framework and will pay on August 10, 2026; an initial delivery of about 12.4 million shares is expected, with final settlement before the end of Q2/2027. After the purchase, approximately $255.8 million of repurchase authorization will remain. The company adjusted its full-year guidance: slightly lower net income and adjusted net income margins, while raising forecasts for diluted earnings per share and adjusted diluted earnings per share. The adjustments reflect the expected share delivery, lower interest income from deploying $500 million of cash, and the effects of a smaller weighted-average share count. » More on de.investing.com
