CSPC Pharmaceutical receives FDA clearance for US trials of obesity drug JMT206

CSPC Pharmaceutical has received FDA approval to conduct clinical trials in the US with the recombinant human monoclonal antibody JMT206 (anti‑ActRIIA/IIB). The study targets weight management in people with obesity or overweight who have at least one weight‑related comorbidity; JMT206 is intended to increase muscle mass and reduce body fat. Madrigal Pharmaceuticals receives EU approval for MASH drug Rezdiffra

The European Commission has granted Madrigal Pharmaceuticals a conditional marketing authorization for Rezdiffra (resmetirom) to treat adults with non‑cirrhotic MASH and moderate to advanced liver fibrosis. Madrigal plans to launch the drug in Germany at the end of 2025.
