Daiichi Sankyo: Enhertu significantly improves progression-free survival in HER2‑mutated NSCLC

In the phase‑3 DESTINY‑Lung04 trial, Enhertu as first‑line therapy for HER2‑mutated non‑small‑cell lung cancer showed a significantly longer progression‑free survival (median 14.3 vs. 8.3 months) and reduced the risk of progression or death by 37% (HR 0.63) versus pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy. Daiichi Sankyo: CHMP recommends approval of Enhertu for HER2-positive solid tumors

The CHMP of the EMA has recommended approval of Enhertu (trastuzumab deruxtecan) for adult patients with inoperable or metastatic HER2-positive solid tumors. The recommendation is based on three phase II studies showing confirmed objective response rates of about 47–52% and a median duration of response of 5.5 to 14.2 months.
