Michael and Susan Dell pledge $6.25 billion to seed children's Trump Accounts; Dell Technologies to match employee grants
Michael and Susan Dell committed $6.25 billion to seed tax-advantaged "Trump Accounts" for about 25 million U.S. children age 10 and under in ZIP codes with median income of $150,000 or less, providing $250 per child who was born before Jan. 1, 2025. The pledge complements a federal $1,000 grant for children born 2025–2028 and aims to encourage parental saving and long-term wealth building. Trump Accounts are restricted to low-cost U.S. stock index funds, cannot be withdrawn until the child turns 18, and then roll into an IRA for taxation; Dell Technologies will match the federal $1,000 grants for new children of employees. » More on cnbc.com
