POET Technologies: annual general meeting confirms board, serial production of optical engines planned from H2 2026
POET Technologies reported after the virtual annual general meeting the re-election of six board members and the appointment of Davidson & Company LLP as auditor. The board approved 79,450 restricted stock units for five independent directors. The company plans a production ramp-up and delivery of optical engines in mass production starting in the second half of 2026 and aims to expand capacity to up to 1 million units per month by the end of 2027. POET reported equity raises of $830 million in the past 12 months (plus potentially $661 million from warrants), plans about $50 million in Capex in H2 2026 and intends to increase staff by roughly 50 employees; despite 608% revenue growth over the last 12 months, analysts expect no profitability for this year. » More on de.investing.com
POET Technologies falls after capital increase despite Lumilens order
POET Technologies' stock is showing extreme volatility: after strong gains it recently pulled back. The company has signed a development and supply agreement with Lumilens that includes an initial order of USD 50 million and a potential total volume of more than USD 500 million. At the same time POET completed a capital raise involving around 19.05 million common shares and accompanying warrants for gross proceeds of about USD 400 million, triggering dilution fears and high volatility. Investors should watch the use of proceeds and the commercial progress of the Lumilens collaboration; the stock remains speculative. » More on finanzen.net
POET Technologies: capital increase of about $400 million and Lumilens deal drive stock volatility
The POET Technologies share has seen strong swings after a sharp drop and subsequent recovery. The company closed a development and supply agreement with Lumilens for an electrical-optical interposer; Lumilens placed an initial order worth $50 million, with potential volume of more than $500 million over five years. At the same time, POET placed around 19.05 million common shares including warrants in a direct offering, raising gross proceeds of about $400 million (issue price $21.00 per unit); warrants with an exercise price of $26.25 were also issued. The proceeds are to be used to expand manufacturing, R&D, scale optical modules and for possible acquisitions, leaving dilution risks and high volatility in place. » More on finanzen.net
