DoorDash is buying Grubhub Campus Dining from Wonder for $300 million and is also investing an additional $125 million in Wonder’s Series D funding round. Grubhub Campus Dining (formerly Tapingo) operates at more than 450 colleges and lets users order via app or kiosk using campus credit with scheduled pickup. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approval. Sands Capital removed DoorDash from its Select Growth Fund in Q2 2026, saying a concentrated ~30-stock portfolio requires a higher bar for inclusion. The firm called DoorDash a high-quality business but reallocated capital toward AI infrastructure beneficiaries and other idiosyncratic growth opportunities.
