Eastern reports Q2 sales and adjusted EPS decline, backlog up 45% after aerospace acquisitions

Eastern’s Q2 continuing-operations sales fell 12% to $61.8 million and adjusted EPS declined to $0.15 from $0.57, while GAAP results included a $6.5 million bargain-purchase gain from acquisitions. Backlog rose 45% to $126.2 million, including about $19 million from recent Crown Precision and Sungear deals, and management expects most of the backlog to convert to revenue during the remainder of fiscal 2026.
