Fitch upgrades Elanco after debt reduction and market share gains
Fitch Ratings has raised Elanco’s long-term issuer default rating from BB to BB+ and upgraded the rating on senior secured obligations to BBB-, with a stable outlook. The agency cites successful debt reductions of about $650 million since 2024, market share gains in the pet health segment, a broad product portfolio and improved cash‑flow generation. Fitch expects leverage to fall (gross leverage toward 3.0x by end‑2027), rising free cash flows through 2028 and EBITDA margins of around 21–22% after 2026. In the near term, freed cash flow is expected to be used primarily for debt repayment, while Elanco invests in product expansion, manufacturing and targeted acquisitions. » More on de.investing.com
