Freshpet shares rose about 7.6% premarket after the company reported Q2 2026 results that beat market expectations. Freshpet co-founder and president Scott Morris will transition to an advisory role on 20 October and remain available to the company for 18 months. COO Nicki Baty will succeed him as president while keeping her COO responsibilities and reporting to CEO Billy Cyr. Morris’ innovation duties will move to a new chief innovation officer role as part of a multi-year succession plan timed with Freshpet’s 20th anniversary.
