Futura Medical loses European patent for Eroxon, will appeal
The Opposition Division of the European Patent Office confirmed after an oral hearing the revocation of European patent EP 3934624B1 for MED3000 (marketed as Eroxon). Futura Medical said it will appeal the decision to the EPO’s Technical Board of Appeal; the proceedings are likely to take 18–24 months or longer and patent protection remains in force during the appeal. The company emphasizes that the decision does not affect existing licensing and distribution agreements, the continued marketing of Eroxon, or its ability to supply, and that other patents and pending applications (including the European divisional application for MED3000 and WSD4000) are not affected. » More on de.investing.com
