Genuit reported revenue of £198.5m for the four months to 30 April (-0.4% YoY; like-for-like -8.7%) and cited wet weather and the Middle East conflict as drivers of lower volumes and higher polymer and freight costs. Revenue in the Middle East fell by around 50%; the climate and water technology divisions recorded like-for-like declines of 9.7% and 8.2% respectively. The company expects adjusted operating profit for H1 to be broadly in line with last year at £44.6m, is accelerating cost-reduction measures (£4–5m p.a.) and is targeting a margin improvement of 60–70 basis points by 2027.
